This is a 5-port Ethernet bus unit – a version with extended features including 4 × PoE outputs with negotiation according to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+). These PoE outputs are primarily intended for powering cameras, where the camera stream (video data stream) is stored in an external device in the vehicle – EPIS 4.1x, EPIS 5.1x or in a tachograph or elsewhere.

Thanks to the possibility of powering individual ports, there is no need to run additional power cables to the connected peripherals, as everything is routed in a single UTP cable (data + power). The ECU unit is designed for use in rail vehicles and its supply voltage is 16.8–32 V DC.
