On-board computers - EPC 5.1AKS-10
The EPC 5.1AKS-10 control and recording on-board computer is based on the parameters of the EPC 5.A control unit and shares most of its parameters. Due to its use in camera systems, the disk for the operating system and for camera recordings has been separated, and the unit has been expanded with a second SSD recording disk. The recording disk is equipped with an electronic lock to prevent unauthorised removal after attaching the appropriate Dallas chip.

Due to its use in camera systems, the disk for the operating system and for camera recordings has been separated, and the unit has been expanded with a second SSD recording disk. The recording disk is equipped with an electronic lock to prevent unauthorised removal after attaching the appropriate Dallas chip.
Basic unit parameters:
- control processor – INTEL X6413E series quad-core with a start-up time of 40 seconds (64-bit architecture)
- Processor speed – 1.5 GHz as standard
- RAM – 8 GB, LPDDR4
- Fixed memory – SSD drive (64 GB) – intended for the operating system, application, logs, etc.
- Wired connectivity – Ethernet: 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps), RS-485, 1 × USB 3.0
- Internal battery for eliminating short-term power outages from the vehicle's on-board network (5 minutes of operation) and for backing up the electronic lock (can be opened even when the power supply is disconnected).
Unit features:
- 1-8 TB hot-swap SSD recording drive.
- The recording drive is protected by an electronic lock against unauthorised removal.
- Electronically controlled access to the recording drive using Dallas chips.
- The status of each camera is indicated by an LED (max. 16 cameras).
- The on-board computer can use interval excitation when the vehicle is stationary.
- DVI-HDMI interface for connecting a remote LCD terminal (if required).
- Data connectors are M12 X-coded – both 1 Gbit/s.
- Optional RS 485 interface for connecting the OV-01 control keyboard, including +12 V / 800 mA power supply (optional).
- 4x isolated inputs, including 1x switchable for signal input (key or vehicle start).
- 4x isolated outputs, of which 2x power supply +24 V/800 mA and 2x switching to zero (+36 V/200 mA).
- 1x power output for cameras and switches (power supply max 10 A).
- Special control application designed for controlling camera systems.
On-board computer consumption:
- control units only, without charging internal batteries and LCD: 24 V / 0.4 A
- Standby mode (depending on use): 24 V / 100 µA
- Power output (direction to vehicle): 24 V / max 10 A, continuously 7.5 A after PC start-up *
